Hospice utilizes specially trained, caring volunteers that are capable of assisting the population served by the hospice.

These volunteers:

1. Provide companionship
2. Perform simple chores and run errands
3. Offer caregivers respite by sitting with patient for a limited time.
4. Transport patient to outside appointments
5. Offer grief and bereavement support to families and friends.

Hospice volunteer services are based on initial and ongoing assessments of patient, family volunteer needs by member of the interdisciplinary team and provided according to the interdisciplinary team's plan of care.
